CeNDEF researchers Cars Hommes, Cees Diks and Jan Tuinstra have been awarded a new EU Horizon 2020 grant for `Expectations and Social Influence Dynamics in Economics (ExSIDE)’.
The grant will be used for an `Innovative Training Network (ITN)’ for joint degrees involving 15 PhD positions. The consortium participating in the research consists of seven European universities: Bielefeld University (coordinating institution), University of Amsterdam, University of Leuven, University of Paris, University of Venice, Università Cattolica (Milan), and the University of Surrey. Five UvA Economics and Business PhD candidates are involved in the project which will start on 1 March 2017 for a period of four years. The total amount received for the project is 3.8 million euro, with 0.5 million earmarked for the University of Amsterdam.
