ASE researchers Thomas Buser, Cars Hommes, Arthur Schram, Hessel Oosterbeek, Theo Offerman and Vladimir Vladimirov were all included in the ESB list of the 40 most published economists in the Netherlands. In the rankings for institutions, the UvA was ranked in 4th place.

This ranking is compiled annually by ESB and uses the Web of Science database. Only articles appearing in the domain of economics are counted, and at least one of the authors must be affiliated with a Dutch university.
